It is clear that companies with smaller budgets are left with few, and often bad, options when creating a website. They can try to build one on their own, without the time to dedicate to or the experience to fully understand the task at hand, or they can use a "cookie cutter" service and end up with a site that does little to reflect the individual needs or personality of their company. The gap in quality that I see between sites developed by larger companies and "starter" sites leads me to believe that small companies need a way to level the playing field.
